I don't like 'best of' lists— especially when it comes to music, where a person's preferences are primarily dependent upon the quirks of his/her individual taste. However, I wouldn't presume to buck an old Exposé tradition, so below you may find some of my personal favorites from the year 2000. To make hair-splitting distinctions of preference among these excellent CDs would be an exercise in futility, so the lists below are unranked. Instead, they are listed in alphabetical order.
