AdiB is an Italian quartet (bass, keyboards, guitars, and drums) formerly known as Assolo di Bongo who released their first album in 2001. Their new album, Spinning Like a Top, contains eight original instrumental compositions with a variety of additional musicians and instruments (cello, saxophones, trumpet, and trombone). AdiB plays original rock mixing in 70s/80s Italian prog-rock, jazz, and Big Band music. These guys are very comfortable performing with each other without any particular member dominating. Overall Spinning Like a Top is quite a pleasant music journey that continuously reveals new facets to this interesting band. So if you enjoy intelligent instrumental music without the excesses of superegos, then be sure to check them out. Musea deserves a lot of credit for exposing this excellent band to a worldwide audience.
