Bio / info
Die Krupps is a German industrial metal band formed in 1980 by Jürgen Engler and Bernward Malaka in Düsseldorf. The initial Die Krupps sound throughout the 80s combined synthesizers with metallic percussion. In the 90s, they began to utilize guitars and more sounds derived from heavy metal music, and even released an album of Metallica covers. The band split up in 1997, but regrouped in 2005 for their 25th anniversary, and new material started appearing in 2013. Engler has been the sole constant member of the band.
