Myra Melford (born January 5, 1957 Evanston, Illinois) is an American avant-garde jazz pianist and composer. She has worked and studied with such figures as Gary Peacock, Oliver Lake, Art Lande, Anthony Braxton, and Henry Threadgill. She has also led and participated in a large number of ensembles, including Snowy Egret, Crush, Same River Twice, and many more.
