Bio / info
Space Streakings was a noise-rock band from Japan active during the 90s. Their cacophonous sound, combining electronics with punkish guitars, was similar to bands such as Melt-Banana. The members, all with backgrounds in video game software, called themselves Captain Insect, Kame Bazooka, Karate Condor, and Screaming Stomach. They were known to wield unique instruments such as the bazookahorn in addition to guitar, bass, turntables, trumpet, and sax. They collaborated with the American band Mount Shasta under the name Shakuhachi Surprise.
