Peter Blegvad - Choices under Pressure – Choices under Pressure is a career retrospective done in a rather oblique (and typically Blegvadian) manner. He has rerecorded more-or-less acoustic versions of some of his best songs from previous...  (2002) » Read more

Frank Zappa - Civilization Phaze III – This long awaited post-mortem artifact of Zappa's work is indeed a fine addition to his catalog. The music is almost entirely realized on a Synclavier, yet this is not the sterile robot-music we...  (1995) » Read more

Christian Vander - A Tous les Enfants... – Vander's most recent release, and perhaps the most surprising. This is music dedicated to children, and written with the child in mind. The whole package is basically a children's book,...  (1995) » Read more

Jack o' the Clock - How Are We Doing, and Who Will Tell Us? – The East Bay area (Oakland and surrounding) has produced some interesting musical hybrids of late. A lot of that no doubt has to do with Fred Frith’s involvement with the esteemed Mills College,...  (2011) » Read more
